Edward VIII became king of the United Kingdom following the death of his father, George V, but ruled for less than a year. He abdicated the throne in order to marry his lover, Wallis Simpson, thereafter taking the title Duke of Windsor.

It’s Professionally framed in a thin 3/4” wood ornate Gold frame. The entire frame measures square 21”x21”. The parchment Color paper has a red border around the letter. It is then set in a matching color mat of 1 1/4”.

I purchased this beautiful piece of time in a very elegant home that had many many pieces of art from England. This piece was originally purchased in England and framed in Summit NJ in 1987
