Found this beautiful print in the Estate sale ...I think it's quite lovely and touching and full of feeling.. It's very very old, I'm not really sure how old, but I would say in between 75 and 100 years old ...you can tell by the frame backing it is indicative of the frames used at that time..
This Original oil Painting was seen in the Smithsonian American Art Museum
The Old Couple Looking at a Portrait of Lincoln
Copy after Harry Roseland
Born: Brooklyn, New York 1866
Died: New York, New York 1950
oil on canvas
50 x 27 in. (127.0 x 68.6 cm.)
Very good condition some shading or staining if you will , not to the portrait it's self but more to the Backing that surrounds the portrait.. I'm sure it could be replaced but since it's an antique I really did not want to change it...
