Pedestal Bowl.
This white milk glass pedestal dish is an antique EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) Atterbury Atlas or Hercules Compote, featuring a figural stem of a bearded man (Atlas/Hercules) supporting the bowl above a ribbed round base.
Design Features: Opaque white milk glass, a detailed sculptured figural stem, and a scalloped or paneled bowl rim.
Produced by the Atterbury Glass Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, dating back to the late 19th century (circa 1860s–1890s).
I think it’s great for holding flower arrangements maybe with some vines.
It’s in good condition, but it does have a chip on the bottom of the base, that appears to have been glued back in.
I have priced it accordingly! I did not notice the crack when I bought it, it’s towards the back. I just thought it looked so pretty and it’s not the kind of crack that stands out.

Measures 8 1/4” tall 8 1/2 dia bowl.
I call it a smart buy , because it’ll be an inexpensive way to have a accent piece, because of the chip. It will display beautifully!
