This is a really nice sculpture, it appears to be handcarved and probably from the 1940s or 50s. It’s a beautiful carving of a man who is looking upward as if he’s pondering a mountain climb. His face looks pensive and pleasant. He’s wearing a backpack, hat and boots and he’s leaning on a wooden pick. Sculpture is of high quality. His hat and backpack are stained darker and are very intricate in their carving. He may have had a feather in his hat and some sort of rope on his side because there is remnants of a tiny piece of thread type, in a rope color, very tiny. I’ll include photos of that. The pick is carved separately and moves. The head was carved separately and turns, from the neck, if you’d like him to look in another direction.
I can’t seem to find another like it ,it may be European.
